1. 用起初的愛來愛主;
2. 經歷被破碎的過程;
3. 拿起負擔,學習如何在禱告中托住他人;
Live a Life of Spiritual Expansion
January 21 holds a profound significance for me. In the early hours of this day, a magnitude six earthquake struck Chiayi. Yet even before the earth shook, two events deeply unsettled me: one sister’s mother passed away, and another’s mother was rushed to the emergency room for urgent surgery. The series of minor tremors that followed left me sleepless through the night. The intensity of the shaking made me wonder if God was purging the universe.
As the quake subsided, the world outside sprang into motion—ambulances wailing, doors creaking open, cars speeding off. The abruptness of it all was startling. During those moments of uncertainty, all I could do was repeatedly call upon the Lord’s name. It struck me deeply: the God who gave me life could take it back in an instant. That night, I truly understood how powerless we are in the face of the world’s vastness and unpredictability. As the Bible says:
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”
Indeed, no matter how much we accumulate—houses, businesses, or accomplishments—everything remains fragile. If God wills it, all can vanish in a moment.
Yet, I don’t view these disasters as mere tragedy. Instead, they remind me to live with urgency and purpose, as though each day were my last.
A Call to Spiritual Expansion
By the afternoon, having completed my commitments, I calmed my heart to draft my annual plan. One realization emerged clearly: I want to live the life of a shepherd.
The Lord Jesus asked Peter three times, “Do you love Me?” Each time Peter replied, “Lord, You know that I love You,” Jesus instructed him, “Feed My sheep.” This exchange pierced my heart. Material things will fade, and human relationships are ever-changing. But the Word of God is eternal. It is upon this foundation that I desire to build my life.
A Vision for Life
May this vision guide me throughout my days:
1. Love the Lord with my first love – A love that is pure, undistracted, and fervent.
2. Experience the process of being broken – To be refined by challenges, learning to depend solely on Him.
3. Take up burdens and support others in prayer – Embracing the responsibility to pray for others as an act of love and service.
4. Be a “salty” person – Adding flavor and influence for the Lord, being a living testimony to His grace and power.
Embracing the Uncertainty of Life
Disasters are inevitable, and life is full of uncertainties. But these moments remind us that the true value of life lies not in possessions but in spiritual expansion—becoming vessels for God’s purpose and glory.
May we all be inspired to live meaningful lives, rooted in His Word, and filled with eternal purpose. Let each day be a step toward spiritual growth and shepherding those around us with love.
