讓日常發光

隔了一段時間沒有發文，我在日常生活中消化、反芻過往的經歷，並將它們轉化為文字。寫作教會我接納快樂、悲傷、失落與痛苦，給予這些情感足夠的時間沉澱，讓它們逐漸化為意義，最終成為推動我前行的能量。

2025年的一月，寒流特別漫長，然而在這漫長的日子裡，我學會操練清理自己與神之間的關係。這段日子因此顯得格外深刻。人生原本就是與焦慮共存的旅程，我們常常習慣望向遙遠的目標，卻在不經意間忽略了當下那些真正重要的事。彼得前書5:10提醒我們，苦難只是暫時的；更寶貴的是，每當主的話臨到，見證也隨之而來，這是一種難以言喻的確信。

許多道路，我們或許無法看見，但主早已為我們預備。漸漸地，我明白，人生不是一張選擇題，而是一道填空題。這「填空」，並不需要我們自行設計，而是將主所託付的事與時間忠實地填寫其中。當我們按主的心意填上每一件小事時，前行的道路便會在眼前逐漸顯現。

如詩歌270首所唱：

一事我所知，祂永不會錯；
一事我所做，要將祂得著；
一天過一天，神是我所要；
至忠的賞賜，祂做我榮耀。

主的話語與恩典，總能在平凡的日子中發光。那些看似無足輕重的瞬間，當我們用信心填滿它們時，便會散發出屬天的光輝。願我們能在每日的點滴中，活出主所賜的豐盛生命，讓平凡的日常因著祂的同在而熠熠生輝。

Let the Ordinary Shine

After a pause in writing, I’ve taken time to process and reflect on past experiences in daily life, transforming them into meaningful words. Writing has become a way to embrace joy, sorrow, loss, and pain—allowing these emotions the space to settle, turn into deeper understanding, and eventually become the energy that propels me forward.

This January, the cold snap seemed unusually long. Yet during these extended, quiet days, I focused on clearing and realigning my relationship with God. This made the season particularly profound. Life, I’ve realized, is a constant journey of coexisting with anxiety. We often fixate on distant goals, unaware that the truly important things lie right before us.

A Lesson in Perspective

1 Peter 5:10 reminds us that suffering is temporary. What’s even more precious is that when the Lord’s word comes to us, it brings with it a testimony—a deep, indescribable assurance that anchors our faith.

Many paths in life remain hidden, but the Lord has already prepared them for us. Over time, I’ve come to see that life is not a multiple-choice question, where we strive to pick the “right” answer, but a fill-in-the-blank one. This filling in doesn’t require us to design the answers ourselves but rather to faithfully complete the blank spaces with the tasks and time the Lord entrusts to us. As we handle each seemingly small matter according to His will, the path ahead becomes progressively clearer.

The Hymn That Speaks to My Heart

As hymn 270 beautifully expresses:
One thing I know, I cannot say Him nay;
One thing I do, I press towards my Lord;
My God my glory here, from day to day,
And in the glory there my great Reward.

This simple yet profound hymn resonates deeply with me. It reminds me that God’s faithfulness is unshakable, His plans perfect, and His provision sufficient for every moment.

Illuminating the Ordinary

The Lord’s words and grace have the power to illuminate even the most ordinary days. Those seemingly insignificant moments, when approached with faith, can radiate a heavenly brilliance.

May we each embrace the abundant life the Lord has given us, allowing His presence to make the mundane shimmer with divine light. By doing so, we can faithfully “fill in the blanks” of our lives and witness how the ordinary transforms into something extraordinary in His hands.
