My wishes would come from the depths of my heart: to love others with Christ’s love, to speak with gentleness, and to always look up to Jesus.

My first wish is for love — not the limited love that comes from my own nature, but the limitless love that flows from the Lord. Yesterday, a sister asked me to bring a new believer to a meeting. At first, I didn’t want to go. I felt the topic might be too deep for someone new in faith. But as I thought about it, I turned to the Lord and prayed, “Oh Lord Jesus, don’t let me stay in my natural thoughts. Saturate me with Your love. Teach me how to shepherd others with Your heart, not mine.” As I prayed, peace filled me. I realized that true love doesn’t begin from my feelings — it begins from the Lord Himself.

My second wish is that my words may always be kind and gentle. Sometimes, misunderstandings arise. There was a time when I felt that a sister disliked me. She never said so, but I could sense a distance between us. My imagination began to speak louder than truth. Again, I turned to the Lord and prayed, “Lord Jesus, You are the Shepherd. You know her situation — I don’t. Keep me from judging by what I see. Let me stay quiet in Your presence.” As I prayed, my heart softened. The distance I felt faded, replaced by peace.

My third wish is to always look up to Jesus. When I don’t, I easily lose heart. I can become tired, angry, or discouraged. Satan often tries to pull my eyes downward — toward fear, comparison, or self-pity. But when I lift my gaze to the Lord, everything changes. His light strengthens me again.

In every situation, I’m learning not to rely on my emotions or understanding, but to turn my heart to the Lord. Whether it’s in love, communication, or weakness, He remains the only One who can renew me within.

So my true wish, above all, is simple: that my heart would always turn to Him.
