What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can?
I’ve had lower back pain for years — an old injury from when I used to play basketball. I once fell hard during practice, and ever since then, my back has never been the same. After graduating and starting work, I spent even more time sitting in front of the computer, writing or typing for hours. Slowly, the tension built up in my shoulders and back.
I know I need to take care of my body — to use a foam roller, to stretch my chest and back, and to rest — but I often forget or avoid it. I get caught up in assignments, projects, or ideas that feel urgent. Yet pain always reminds me that my body has its own voice, gently asking me to slow down.
Recently, I visited an orthopedic therapist who helped release the tension in my body. It reminded me that healing isn’t just about treatment; it’s about learning to listen to my body and build a peaceful relationship with it.
I used to see rest as a waste of time, but now I see it as love — a way to thank my body for carrying me through everything.
