A Crazy Business Idea I’d Actually Love to Build

Come up with a crazy business idea.

I love this question—because I already have a “crazy” business idea, and honestly, I’m already living inside the first chapter of it.

Here it is:

Someone sponsors me to travel the world—slowly, intentionally—and I write a book while I do it.

Not just travel for fun, but to experience life deeply: different cities, cultures, seasons, people, emotions, and inner shifts. While moving from place to place, I write—every day. Essays, reflections, observations about work, faith, learning, the body, relationships, and what it means to live well.

I once heard about publishers who sponsored writers to travel for six months across South America, and then publish a book afterward. When I first learned about that model, something inside me lit up. I thought:

That’s not just a job—that’s a way of living.

And the truth is, I’m already doing part of it.

I’ve been writing for years—on social media, on my blog, in my diary. When I look back, I realize I’ve written so much. The first real step of this “crazy business” isn’t traveling yet—it’s organizing, restructuring, and shaping what already exists. In a way, the book is already there. It just needs to be curated.

What I keep asking myself every day is not only what I want to write, but:

Who is this book for? What problem does it help them sit with or move through? Why does my way of seeing the world matter to someone else?

My answer keeps coming back to this:

I want to write for people who are living through transitions—career shifts, emotional growth, faith questions, identity changes. People who want to live well, not just efficiently.

The “business model” may sound crazy to some:

to work everywhere, live everywhere, walk, ride, observe, feel, and write.

But to me, it’s deeply practical.

It means building a life that requires:

a healthy body, emotional stability, spiritual grounding, and the courage to turn lived experience into value for others.

It’s a business built on well-being, presence, and storytelling.

Is it a challenge? Absolutely.

Is it risky? Probably.

Is it crazy? Maybe—to others.

But for me, it feels natural.

To live each day fully, as if it matters.

To experience every emotion honestly.

To write it down before it disappears.

And to offer those words to others who might need them.

That’s my crazy business idea.

And somehow… I think I’m already on my way.
