Recently, I received an assignment and realized I’m gradually becoming a source of support for others, much like a sturdy tree they can lean on. This journey has pushed me out of my comfort zone, presenting not just challenges but also valuable learning opportunities. Moving from one-on-one teaching to managing a group of five, and even multi-layered sessions, initially felt overwhelming. However, reflecting on this, I’ve come to see it as an extension of the reading sessions we’ve faithfully conducted for nearly three years. What seemed intimidating at first now feels like part of God’s detailed preparation—answering my prayers and equipping me with courage. To me, this is His most remarkable blessing.

Standing on stage often brings a yearning to prove one’s worth, to have one’s efforts acknowledged. Yet, I’ve learned over time that true service doesn’t come from focusing on ‘what I can offer.’ It comes from humbly setting myself aside, understanding others’ needs, and empathizing with their struggles. Genuine transformation happens when actions are rooted in God’s love, flowing out like living water to refresh and connect souls.

In 1 Corinthians 1:26-31, we’re reminded that God uses the humble and the weak to reveal His wisdom and power, leaving no room for human boasting. This calling isn’t about our qualifications but about Christ’s work within us. It’s through Him that we find wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. Thus, all glory belongs to the Lord, as our every ability comes from Him.

Preparing for this assignment has deepened my understanding that stepping beyond our limits is not just a challenge—it’s an act of grace. Letting go of self-reliance and depending on the Lord allows us to become vessels of His love, carrying blessings to others and fulfilling His divine purpose. This, ultimately, is our mission: to reflect His glory, partake in His abundance, and glorify His name.
