Trusting My Instincts

Do you trust your instincts?

Today I can say: yes, I trust my instincts.

This week has been heavy: a lot of work, a lot of focus, and I felt very tired and stressed. My lower back injury is getting better, but I also caught a cold. November feels like the Lord’s reminder to slow down and rest in His peace.

So today, I just followed my heart. I canceled many appointments, took off several responsibilities, and let myself rest. I went to the swimming pool, soaked in hot water, and let my body relax. I also did some grocery shopping, even though I still had a headache. After a few hours of rest and some medicine, I feel better now.

Sometimes, our body knows what we need more than our mind does. When we feel tired or in pain, it’s not just discomfort–it’s a message to slow down, protect our energy, and listen. The Lord also reminds us to pay attention to the small voice of the heart, not just our thoughts or plans.

The most important lesson for me today is learning to communicate — with myself, with the Lord, and with others. The quality of our life depends on how honestly we listen, express, and connect.

I feel grateful for this lesson. I can now be open-minded, aware of what I truly need, and faithful in how I communicate with others.

Thank You, Lord, for teaching me to trust my instincts.
